Adult Education

Adult Christian Education at the Mediator takes many forms, including:

Adult Forum

Adult Forum meets in the Commons Room Sunday mornings from 9:10 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. (child care is available in the Nursery for children too young for Sunday School). “Adult” because we never grow too old to learn and think. “Forum” because we wrestle together in an open forum, discussing, asking questions and providing (often tentative) answers, and interacting with one another. For a list of programs, look here.

Tuesday Morning at 10:00 a.m., after Eucharist

Every Tuesday morning at 10:00, after Eucharist, this ongoing group begins with a devotional Bible Study, usually focusing on the lessons for the upcoming Sunday. The group continues with discussion, closing with prayers for those who are sick and the pastoral needs of our parish. Visitors and new members are always welcome.

Monday Morning Bible Study

Monday Mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the Library

The Monday morning Bible Class resumes on September 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the library.  The first of the Gospels, this study of Mark will explore Jesus as a powerful man, confident in his choices and thoroughly trusting in God even as he faces persecution and ultimately death.  Mark’s words are encouragement to uncertain disciples of all ages to see clearly the path Jesus invites us to follow.

We will be using the Kerygma series for this eight-week study.  You can sign up in the library where study guides will be available.  If you have questions, contact Patricia G.
